It’s Meanwood Festival time again!
Meanwood’s 5th annual festival, organised by Meanwood Valley Partnership will run from 24th May to Sunday 2nd June and it’s the biggest and best yet.
There are over 45 events in 15venues and, as usual there’s something for everyone including a new event for music lovers.
The festival’s ten-day programme contains a wide variety of events ranging from arts, crafts, music, dance, food & drink, heritage and nature walks. There’s even life drawing and spoon whittling!
A Festival first sees local musical talent showcased at the family friendly ‘Music on T’Pitch’ concert to be held on Sunday 26th May from 12 noon till 7pm. Featuring over 10 acts there will be something to appeal to all ages including blues, swing, folk, country, jazz, Latin American and Indie. There will also be a choice of food and drink including beers from 2 local microbreweries.
There are activities for kids too including Moo Music, Diddy Dennis Fire Engine, face painting and inflatable play areas as well as a choice of food and drink including our very own festival beer.
All events are popular and some will need to be booked in advance so look out for the festival programme dropping through your letter box in May or check the Meanwood Festival 2019 website and Facebook page.
Meanwood Festival is part funded by Leeds City Council Inner North East Community Committee.
