Friends of Meanwood Park

When? 3rd Saturday of each month
Where? Meet at Green Road car park Ranger’s Hut (unless otherwise informed)
Time   10am prompt until midday
Interested? Just turn up and try it for yourself.

If you want to have a bit of fun learning about the Park’s plants and animals and enriching the diverse habitats which support them, feel free to volunteer with us.

We work under the guidance/instruction of one of Parks & Countryside’s Rangers, Steve who is a mine of information about the Valley’s ecology.

Activities have included pond and millstream maintenance, removing invasive species, pruning, gardening and litter picking.

Gloves and tools provided.

Wear boots or stout shoes and be prepared to get a bit muddy and wet!

Older children welcome but must be under the close supervision of a responsible parent/carer at all times.
